Kim Jong-il's death plunged South Korea - with which the North is still technically at war after the 1950-1953 conflict that split the peninsula - into uncertainty yesterday.
Kim Jong-un is all but certain to step into the shoes of his father Kim Jong-Il, who passed away on Saturday. Taking charge of a nuclear powered and relatively unstable country, Kim Jong-Il, who is in his 20s, appears to have the support of the North Korean people and the military.
